When is the best time to travel to the Maldives?
Being a group of tropical isles, the Maldives is the ideal destination throughout the year. The monsoon season (May-November) brings with it not just cool showers but the best rates as well.
Is Travel Insurance mandatory to visit the Maldives?
Due to the unpredictability associated with travel, we believe it to be a sound precaution to provide oneself with travel insurance.
What should I pack?
Think sun, sea and sand, and pack up your summer outfits, swimsuits and sunscreen. Make it a point to bring along your camera to capture the breath-taking scenes of the emerald islands.
Visitors should note that bringing alcohol to the Maldives is strictly prohibited. Alcohol is served at the various resorts scattered throughout the isles.
There is no need for you to drag along with you any concern you may have about the hassle of gaining a visa, as tourists will be issued a free 30-day visa upon arrival.
However, visitors are required to produce a copy of their voucher, return air ticket and passport (valid 6 months from date of departure).
What happens on arrival at Velana International Airport?

Is there free Wi-Fi at the Airport?
A number of the airport’s lounges offer free Wi-Fi and many other services.
What is the luggage weight allowance for Seaplane/Domestic flight transfers?
The weight allowance for check-in luggage and carry-on is 20kg and 5kg respectively. No single bag should weigh more than 32kg. A fee of USD5 ++ will be charged directly per kilo per luggage.
Do guests receive immediate transfers upon arrival?
Resort transfers transport passengers from various international flights. Thus, there is a scheduled waiting time in place, which can last a maximum of 2 hours. (Transfers maybe delayed or canceled due to safety precautions during bad weather)
Credit cards are widely accepted but only global currencies are accepted in resorts such as USD, EUR or GBP. Guests are advised to change their local currency to a global currency before arrival. Unfortunately, travelers’ cheques are not accepted at Maldivian banks.
In regard to Honeymoon / Anniversary privileges, visitors are expected to provide a copy of their marriage certificate in order to enjoy these benefits as per resort term and conditions.
Meal plans such as; Bed and Breakfast, Half-Board, and Full Board, strictly excludes any form of drinks, beverages or water. These incidental charges are to be borne by the guests and paid directly to the resort.
